Mentoring young hunters is important to passing on the traditions of sportsmanship and self reliance. The record December snowfall provided a rare opportunity to observe tracks in the snow to learn the travel patterns and feeding habits of wildlife under winter conditions.

The Virginia Outdoor Writers Association, Inc. represents a coalition of writers, photographers, and video/film producers who inform various media on the out-of-doors and its enjoyment.
